There is a short wait sometimes for small parties
Yes.
High quality food, great service all at reasonable prices. The best sit down American restaurant in Squirrel Hill.
A true diamond in the rough. Amazing selection of food. they have a very creative menu. Everything we had was delicious. Quick and friendly service.
Nice casual neighborhood place for a drink or glass of wine and a bite to eat. Casual and reasonably priced. Friendly unpretentious service. Good for spontaneous date, family dinner or watching a game on TV
Best grilled swordfish ever! Swear!!
Very small dining area but I've never had trouble getting a seat. Food is always very high quality and well put together. Daily specials are usually unique twists on common menu items and always fantastic. Generous portions. Wait staff is not very talkative or overly perky, which is a huge bonus for me, but some may find it off-putting
Nice variety of food at a reasonable price.
Cozy place...nice seasonal menu
Affordable above-average food, a quiet table for two or join your friends around the bar. Great neighborhood pub
Fast service on a Friday afternoon
The waitress was friendly, the food was good, and it was nice to sit and eat outside
Friendly staff and the spicy chicken chili was great!
The staff was lovely, the food was fine the prices are standard bar prices, and the wine was good. Also, I was visiting with an old friend, and they didn't heckle us to leave, so that was very good (we weren't there at a busy time or we would not have overstayed).
Great food cozy place
GREAT food...Love the Burgers❗💯
Love this place! Phenomenal service meets delicious food. Expansive menu and rotating specials. You're guaranteed to find something you love!
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh! We frequent Murray Ave about 3-4 times a month, often returning for the same thing...the one and only spicy grilled chicken wrap! One of us gets fries well done and the other gets sweet potato fries well done on the side. We love the wraps because they are cooked to perfection and the chicken is grilled...plus the wraps never fall apart while you're eating them! The French Onion soup is also to die for!Aside from the food, we love the vibe and customer service. Going to Murray Ave is always a treat and beyond delicious!
Great service at the bar!
Great Lunch 😋
Good food, broad updated menu and friendly service. They have a nice bar and desserts are good. Seating is tight, and other patrons can be prickly. Love the Tootsie Rolls that always come with the bill.
Really good food. Slightly slow but worth the wait. Nice staff. Small. Come early.
Joey was our server and he was exceptional! He brought us extra sauces to complement the already delicious food. Would definitely return!!!
Great vides and staff is great. Food is ok. Also, a little pricey on just food alone for two.
Greatest neighborhood bar restaurant. Food is delicious. Especially the fish sandwich and french onion soup
Great for American comfort food. It's a little cramped and not my favorite atmosphere (more of a bar) but the food and service were good.
Ended up here early on a Sunday night with some friends. It's quite a find. Blending pretty standard American bar food with higher quality dishes, especially in their chef specials menu. We sampled things from both. We also tried some wines and wondered why they only sold them by the glass?Service was excellent. Portions are very large. Prices are reasonable. Location is very accessible. What's not to like?We tried a lamb burger, house made ravioli, crab cakes, lobster mac and cheese, gazpacho, and tater tots. All were good. Prices, including wine and tip! Were less than 35 per person.
I liked this place even though its not meant for a large group like I had. Thankfully the staff was accommodating and the waiter was wonderful. I recommend the the veggie burger and sweet potato fries.
Decent menu options and prices for food and drinks, one of the only places in the area that's open after 9pm. Recommended.
I visited Murray Avenue Grill on a Sunday in the early evening. I ate alone at the bar and ordered the butternut squash raviolis. I had asparagus on the side. The ravioli was good. The asparagus was over-cooked. They are over-priced for the quality of food and the portion of food, especially when there is much competition in Squirrel Hill and with Oakland nearby. The bartender was friendly. One could tell that they are serving plenty of regulars here. I was not overly impressed with them, and I won't return anytime soon. I gave them three stars because I didn't want to be too hard on them for my first visit, and they deserve another chance.
Good food! Had a burger, requested with no bun and they obliged. They could use a table scrub down though. SERVICE DOG FRIENDLY
Would have been a solid 4, but the avocado was processed (freeze dried? frozen?) and had to be removed from the otherwise good chicken pesto club sandwich. No price reduction was offered, and the expectation of fresh avocado was why I ordered the sandwich. My dining companion's grilled cheese was very good. Dark interior and no one else there at 1:45 pm, but only noticed that because of the above disappointment. Be sure to ask before ordering anything w avocado!
I hate to give this place only 2 stars, because the food was so awesome.. I just couldn't eat it! At noon on a Friday they were chopping onions (or at least that's what they told us). My eyes were burning and watery the entire time, it ruined everything for us. I had to walk out to the car without being able to eat while my lovely boyfriend suffered through and waited to pay our check. Maybe don't go at this time? Sadly, I doubt we will ever go back.
We were told that the salads here were very good, so we decided to try it after only living in the area for four years! It's a small venue, but was very busy on a Friday evening. There's a bar in the front, and they make good use of the space for tables and seating. The menu is small (which I personally prefer), but there were still many choices for anyone's taste. We each had a Pittsburgh salad, with cheese and french fries on it, and I had falafel on top of mine for a nominal extra charge. It was very good. I'd definitely go back.
Nice staff and good food. Can be really busy, but they do take out.
Good service and good quality food!
Best crabcakes in the area. Great service. Everything I've had here has been delicious.
Consistently good to d. The Fudge Cobbler is to die for!!!
This place was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious. The burgers are as advertised, some of the best in pittsburgh. But feel bad it attracts a crowd that is quite rude. Very nice staff, very busy so give them a break. But did have a little wait for food. But the flavor and taste might make the wait worth it.
Excellant menu. Friendly efficient service. Reasonable priced choices.
We come here often and love it every single time! I recommend this place to anyone new to Pittsburgh as a "must try" restaurant. Friendly staff and delicious food!!
This is a long time neighborhood staple known for tasty food, nice drinks, and friendly service. When I picked up a takeout order today, it touched my heart to see that they had a table set up for delivery drivers with free gloves and candy. This made me smile and I needed to give a shout out to them. They are truly an asset to the community! Thank you so much for going above and beyond!
Great desserts, good fries. Not a place for groups larger than 4, unless you're lucky enough to find the bar empty.
Cozy and familiar, neat and snazzy but still warm and casual. A great place to hang and chat!
Awesome Chicken Pesto handheld. Definitely recommend getting a dessert!
I had the beer battered fish and it wasn't good and it made me sick to my stomach. Sorry. I don't usually complain.
Its been awhile, my bad, they have a regular clientele for a reason. Food is top notch, service is the best. They speak to most customers by name.
The murray ave. grill is consistently awesome. Reliable, cozy you never have to worry about whether your meal will be delicious or not. It will be. They have lactose free deserts by Leona's.
Fast service, friendly staff, and great burgers 🍔Also, ample beer selection 🍺
The hammered copper bar top is a really great design feature
Friday night chefs special burger...Mushroom burger that was simply amazing !!! I will be back to sample the wings and other dishes very soon!
Went on a weeknight..service and food both good..nice place
